About the project

VIVA LA VILLA

This modern take on a traditional villa hits the mark.  The fresh and light exterior is elegant and understated.  A huge, wraparound deck conjures visions of summer soirees.  The portico with gas fire warms late into the evening, so there’s no need to rush inside when the temperature drops.

The classic yet contemporary interior boasts four bedrooms, two bathrooms and dual living spaces, including an open-plan layout.  A black central island, purple splashback and stainless steel appliances give the entertainer’s haven a dramatic edge.  Meanwhile, stepped ceilings, wide architraves and skirtings, and panelled doors foster a traditional feel.  The antique bronze hardware on the door deserves a medal.  Window seats with bookshelves in the bedrooms are another fine feature.

Plenty of storage, a laundry and a garage with an attic are pleasingly practical additions.  In the bathroom, the bold, beautiful freestanding tub is a light and lovely place to soak at the end of the day.

The fully timber constructed home, emulates all the integrity of a classic villa.  To the long extended hallway heading straight to the heart of the home, the dining area and kitchen together with the 3 metre high stud ceilings, this villa is an art piece all on its own.
